Thanksgiving

We had a very cute turkey , pilgrim, and Indian join us for Thanksgiving this year. They each made these costumes at school. Wesley also learned some new weaving skills at school and made this headband. He wore it from the moment he came home from school on Tuesday afternoon until Sunday when it was time to go to church (we did make him take it off to sleep). Needless to say, he had some very bad hair days and he reminded us of an 80’s Aerobic Instructor.

Cameron turned this apple into a turkey for a project at school.

When we showed up to Ken’s parents house on Thanksgiving, Sara was there (home from BYU) and Carter did not leave her side for the first half hour.

Wesley sat down to a big Turkey dinner, but ended up only being able to eat his turkey leg. I wonder why?

Carter didn’t seem to think the Thanksgiving feast was quite as exciting

I guess turkey really does make you tired. We think he fell asleep saying his prayers (just like his daddyJ)

Early in November, we finished up soccer season for Wesley and Cameron by having team parties and getting their trophies.

We just had to put in this picture because it was so cute. It was one of the 50 pictures that Cameron and Wesley took with the camera that actually turned out well.

It's Autumn Time!

My parents came to Austin to help out my sister family while they are still in the hospital with their sweet little Nikolas (just trying to get his dialysis stable). They came up to visit us on the weekend of the BYU/TCU game and we all went. We were lucky enough to be able to go to the one game that BYU has lost this season. It was definitely disappointing, but it was still a fun night out!

My mom and dad and Conner (my sister’s other child) stayed up in Dallas for a few days after the game. We went to the Pumpkin Patch and despite how crowded it was, we had fun riding the train and hayride, jumping in the bounce houses, playing on the haystacks, and looking at the animals.

Of course, we carved pumpkins (although Carter spent most of the time eating popcorn while laying on the kitchen floor) and…

Bobbed for apples (we let the rules slide for Carter).

Our little baby girl was a jack-o-lantern for her first Halloween.

The force was strong at our house for Halloween with Wesley as Darth Vader, Carter as Yoda, and Cameron as Anakin Skywalker (who wouldn’t wear his mask).
